Having grown up listening to the soundtracks for Les Miserables and the Phantom of the Opera on my family's CD player (and eventually on more modern devices), I have always been a huge theatre fan. My passion for the performing arts grew even more after I participated in my first production, The Wizard of Oz, in third grade. And in middle school, I was given many opportunities to participate in musicals and plays, which furthered my passion for theatre and inspired me to pursue it as a long-term extracurricular. Since then, I have performed in a total of fourteen lovely plays and musicals through my schools and local stage companies. And now, I'm a part of the one-and-only LAHS Broken Box and loving every moment of it!
There are so many aspects of Broken Box that I love! If I had to pick a favorite, I would have to say it's how receptive to new ideas, creative, thoughtful, and supportive everyone is! Our teamwork really has proven to make the dream work, whether the dream in question was pranking Mrs. Moran or writing an entire show!
I owe so much of my outlook on life to theatre--it has helped me meet so many amazing people, learn the value of collaboration and teamwork, and connect to the human experience. I would love to be involved in theatre beyond high school, and I look forward to further exploring the world of theatre!
Colors fascinate me; I always jump at the chance to color code my notes, Google Calendar, and even my belongings! My favorite color alternates various shades of blue, green, and purple depending on the moment. Right now, I'd say it's a deep sapphire blue...oh wait, it's actually a bright highlighter green now!
